Steep inclines and declines

The accompanying animation depicts an ICS forming a steep conveying path up the batters of a stylised open cut mine. The closed profile of the belt, when correctly filled, induces bridging of the material with the result that there is no rollback or escape. This capability is not restricted to surface mines. It can be highly useful in underground mines and declines as well as other applications such as grain handling and ship loading.
