The ICS can form tight horizontal and vertical curves. The accompanying animation first demonstrates how the ICS can form bends with a radius of as little as 5 metres. The scenario is that of a processing plant involving a pattern of tanks. The tight radius capability of the ICS would enable it to transport material around the existing infrastructure. The animation also demonstrates how the ICS can make a smooth, small-radius transition to the a steep incline. This is made possible by the unique composition of the belt and the low overall tension in the system.

The system is shown without its framework for the sake of simplicity. However, it is worth noting that the ICS offers highly adaptible mounting. In this scenario, for instance, it could be mounted to tanks. The complex path capability makes the ICS an attractive option in those situations where a simple conveying path is not feasible due to obstacles and the need for multiple transfer points.
