Rapid belt segment replacement

The ICS belt is constructed in segments, which can be combined to produce the desired length of belt that forms a continuous loop along the path. The first video depicts an animation of a belt change and the second is actual field footage of a belt change.

The animation begins by demonstrating the belt joiners that are used to connect segments of ICS belt together. Held in position by retaining screws, these joiners are extremely strong, and are connected directly to the strength elements of the belt. The animation proceeds to demonstrate the belt being parted to accept a new segment of belt, as would be the case if a system was being extended. However, the same basic process applies to replacing a segment of belt. The animation concludes with a demonstration of a section of belt being removed.

The second video is not in real time, but depicts an actual belt change out in the field. In normal circumstances this would tkae up to 30 minutes to complete.
