Manage Carry-back

The design of the ICS belt system and the discharge system makes it very difficult for material to remain within the belt after going through the discharge process. However, in those unusual circumstances where carryback does occur (such as in highly adhesive material) the ICS ensures that this material does not pollute the conveying path. The accompanying animation shows how the ICS belt system can manage carry-back, which refers to that material that does not exit the system due to adhesion to the belt system. The animation demonstrates how the ICS belt system travels along its return path in an upright position. Therefore, any carryback is retained within the system until it reaches the discharge again. This eliminates any material escape along the return path, avoiding any need for cleaning away material along the main conveying path.
