Belt Change

Rapid belt segment replacement

The ICS belt is constructed in segments, which can be combined to produce the desired length of belt that forms a continuous loop along the path. The accompanying animation begins by demonstrating the belt joiners that are used to connect segments of ICS belt together. Held in position by retaining screws, these joiners are extremely strong, and are connected directly to the strength elements of the belt. The animation proceeds to demonstrate the belt being parted to accept a new segment of belt, as would be the case if a system was being extended. However, the same basic process applies to replacing a segment of belt. The animation concludes with a demonstration of a section of belt being removed.
