Two-way Conveying
The ICS belt conveying system travels its whole path in an upright position, except at the load and discharge points.
Loading is achieved by locating a hopper over a loading frame that is located at the desired point. The loading frame performs the task of opening the belt to accept material from the hopper. The location of a loading point is not constrained to the ends, but can be at any point of the conveying path.
Unloading, or discharging, is achieved by locating a side discharge frame at the desired point. The discharge frame performs the task of opening the belt from its normally closed profile to a flat profile orientated at a steep angle. This forces the material free of the belt. The locating of a discharge point is not constrained to the end, but can be at any point of the conveying path.
The loading and discharging methods mentioned above permit the ICS belt conveying system to accept and discharge material multiple times in the one circuit. This enables, but is not restricted to, two way conveying.
